Imogen uses five critical questions to frame a changing places case study of Kochi (formerly Muziris) in India.

I am absolutely delighted that this Changing Places case study has been published in the Geographical Association's Teaching Geography journal!

It resulted from our 2024 teacher study visit to South India, following many discussions with the fantastic group of teachers travelling with us. Particular credit goes to Kathryn McDonald whose enquiring energy and geographical enthusiasm guided me towards framing these critical questions of place. Many thanks to all involved!

Our next year's study visit 'Dynamics of place' is now taking bookings during which time we will focus particularly on our two signature case studies:

  • Bengaluru - an emerging megacity

  • Kochi - a changing place.

Come see for yourself!

Please be in touch for the full case study resources for both these case studies - they include a curriculum linked information pack and a supporting image bank. Happy to share.
